Ronald Lee “Ronnie” Hamblin

Ronald Lee “Ronnie” Hamblin, 61, of Dublin passed away Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010 at LewisGale Hospital – Pulaski.
He was a member of St. Judes Catholic Church and was a retired lieutenant with Dublin Police Department with over 26 years of service. He was a member of the F.O.P., a lifetime member of Pulaski County Lifesaving Crew, the Pulaski County Touchdown Club and was the lead officiant for Cougar Bingo.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Layda Casas Hamblin of Dublin; three sons and daughters-in-law, Nito and Lea Hamblin, Dublin, Rickie and Krystal Hamblin, Newbern, and Robbie and Jessica Hamblin of Chesapeake; daughter and son-in-law, Anne Marie and Dwayne Dickerson, Christiansburg; two sisters and brother-in-law, Genie Zunic, Dublin, and Shirley Ann and Keith Martin of Vinton; and nine grandchildren, Ty, Elisabeth, Taylor Marie, Josie, Peyton, Joe, Allen, Nathaniel and Connor.
A funeral mass will be held Friday, Nov. 12, at 7:30 p.m. at St. Judes Catholic Church in Radford, with Father John Prinelli officiating. Interment will follow on Saturday, Nov. 13 at 11 a.m. at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 p.m. until the time of the service at St. Judes Catholic Church.
