Howard Douglas (Jim) Shinault

Howard Douglas (Jim) Shinault, 68, of Pulaski, passed away peacefully Nov. 10, 2010.
He was born in Wytheville May 16, 1942, to Ella F. Peak and the late Wilbert F. Shinault. Jim retired from Jefferson Mills after many years of service. Along with his father, he also was preceded in death by his brother, Steven P. Shinault and sisters, Patricia O. Jennings and Rosa S. Hamblin. Those left to cherish his memory are daughter, Tammy E. Shinault; son, Douglas W. Shinault; daughter, Michele S. Duncan; five grandchildren, Jay Duncan, Jamie Shinault, Hannah Shinault, Alex Duncan and Sam Duncan; brothers and sisters, Marjoria J. (Polly) Shinault, Wilbert A. (Jake) Shinault, Fred J. (Jack) Shinault, Merle E. Shinault, Linda I. (Sally) Blevins, Daniel L. (Gabe) Shinault, Melba J. (Minnie) Shinault, Preston C. Shinault, LeJeanne J. (Suki) Cassell; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the staff at Highland Ridge Rehab Center for their caring service.
A memorial service will be held Nov. 13, 2010, at 6 p.m. at Dublin Presbyterian Church, 425 Church St., Dublin, with the Rev. Jeannette Tagg officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall at Dublin Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Dublin Presbyterian Church, 409 Church Street, Dublin, VA 24084.
