Pulaski County High School is asking citizens for support of their upcoming Investments in Learning Assembly.
The annual assembly is held to honor students who achieved academic excellence, performed well on Standards of Learning (SOL) tests, and students with perfect attendance. Additionally, the 2011 Most Valuable Cougar will be announced.
PCHS is asking businesses, organizations, churches, and individuals to contribute financially. Donors offering $100 or more will be identified during the assembly.
Names of students passing SOL tests will be drawn for $100 rewards. Each student is entered into the drawing equal to the number of SOL tests they passed. The number of awards given will depend upon the amount of money raised.
The assembly will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 28.
Despite economically hard times, school officials are hopeful that the community will respond positively to this campaign.
Donations can be dropped off or mailed to the SOL Campaign at PCHS, 5414 Cougar Trail Road in Dublin.
