The Pulaski County Humane Society is currently searching for a foster home for some of their newest additions.
Last week, a young mother pit bull named Nalah, was brought to the humane society with seven five-week old puppies.
The dogs cannot maintain a permanent residence at the humane society for several reasons though. Nalah is extremely uncomfortable with other dogs around her puppies.
The puppies also need time to socialize amongst one another. The most important of the reasons though is the puppies’ susceptibility to diseases because they have not been properly vaccinated. This susceptibility leaves her pups prone to catching a fatal disease.
PCHS is looking for a foster home for these animals to help meet these needs and, hopefully, a permanent residence in the near future. If you are interested in adopting or fostering them, please call the humane society’s Ali Tobia at 674-0089 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
