Lillian Lambert Vanover, age 75, of Little Creek (Bland County), died Friday, June 25, 2010.
She was the daughter of the Irvin K. and Florence Gray Lambert, and was preceded in death by four brothers Alford Lambert, Randolph "Randy" Lambert, James Clinton Lambert, and Conway Lambert.
She survived by a daughter and son-in-law Patricia “Tessie” and Vernon Davis of Little Creek; son and daughter-in-law Billy and Yvonne Vanover of Little Creek; sister and brother-in-law Carolyn and Randall Meadows of Little Creek; brothers and sisters-in-law Ralph and Sally Lambert of Little Creek and Cecil and Marry Lambert of Wytheville; four grandchildren Benjamin Davis, Albert Davis, Erica and spouse Ernie Williams, and William Clinton Vanover, all of Little Creek; two step-grandchildren Brittanie Jones and Matthew Jones, both of Little Creek; one great-grandchild Constance Vanover of Little Creek; and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.
The funeral service will be Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 8 p.m. at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. Wayne Monroe, Rev. Paul Looney, and Rev. Bill Perkins. A graveside service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Hidden Valley Cemetery #2, Little Creek. The family will receive friends at Grubb Funeral Home on Saturday from 6 p.m. until service time. Flowers would be appreciated and/or donations may be made to Hidden Valley Cemetery #2. Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
