Jimmy “Trucker” Anderson Duncan, age 69, of Dublin, died Saturday June 19, 2010 in Pulaski Community Hospital.
He was born July 16, 1940 in Pulaski County, and was the son of the late Margaret Snavely Duncan and George Anderson Duncan. He was a retired employee of V-DOT in Dublin, and a member of Henry Clay Masonic Lodge #280 A.F. & A.M. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Artie Duncan, Henry Duncan, and Richard Duncan, and a sister, Mary Ruth Dunnigan.
He is survived by a daughter Lauren Ashley Genz and her husband Thorsten of Pulaski; two brothers Jerry Duncan and his wife Patricia of Shiloh, and George Anderson Duncan Jr. and his wife Teena of Dublin; and one sister Geneva Summers and her husband Bill of Pulaski. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday June 25, at 11 a.m. at West End Cemetery in Wytheville with the Rev. Mike Sweeny officiating. Henry Clay Lodge #280 A.F. & A.M. will also conduct Masonic graveside rites. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home.
