AUBURN, Ga. – Drema (Dawn) Sipsy, 69, of Auburn, Ga. and formerly of Pulaski, died on June 7, 2010.
She was the daughter of the late Frank O. Blankenship and Helen Cooper Blankenship. She grew up in Pulaski and graduated from Pulaski High School in 1960. She had a knack for connecting with many people and will be remembered for her giving spirit and compassionate heart. In addition to living in many different states in the U.S., she also lived in Japan and Germany, traveling throughout Europe. She moved to Georgia over 20 years ago and resided in Lithonia and finally in Auburn.
She is survived by her husband Lonnie A. Sipsy, her only daughter Kathy Hughes Lacey and her only grandchild Joseph R. Lacey. She is also survived by two sisters Peggy Blankenship Sipsy and Sandra Blankenship Maguire; a brother Jerry W. Blankenship; and her two step-children Keith Sipsy and Brenda Wells.
