Wilbert Junio Dunbar

Wilbert Junio Dunbar, 88, of Pulaski, passed away Sunday, May 30, 2010 at his home. He was born in Plymouth, N.C., on Feb. 14, 1922 and was the son of the late John and Ora Kelly Dunbar. He was also preceded in death by two sisters. He was an explosives operator for Hercules. He was a veteran of WWII and Korea having served in the Navy.
The Family would like to thank the staff of Pulaski Community Hospital and Pulaski Health and Rehab Center for their kindness and compassion during his time of need.
Surviving are his wife, Gladys Dunbar; sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn and Nancy Dunbar, Roger and Mary Dunbar; sister, Cleo Palermo; brother, Leo Watson; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Melanie and Matthew Dunbar, Kurt and Kim Colburn, Trent and Nikki Colburn; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Cade and Wyatt Colburn and Nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 2 at 3 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Wanda Stowers officiating. Visiting will be Wednesday from 1 p.m. to the service hour.
Flowers are welcomed and the Family wishes memorial gifts be made to Medi-Home Health & Hospice, 102 N. Washington Ave. Pulaski, Va. 24301.
Arrangements are by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski.
