Kathleen Waddell Delph, 83, of Thornspring Church Road, Dublin passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2010 in the Pulaski Rehab Center. She was born on June 4, 1926 in Olinger, Va., in Lee County. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Delph and by her 12 brothers and sisters. She was a loving mother to her five children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are children and spouses, Berl and Bonnie Delph, Pulaski; Bill Delph, Dublin; Vernon and Regina Delph, Dublin; Jim and Wanda Delph, Cedar Bluff; Debra Delph, Jacksonville, Fla.; grandchildren and spouses, Tim and Casey Delph, Dublin; Billy Delph, Pulaski; Richard and Melissa Delph, Pulaski; Kevin Delph, Cedar Bluff; Jennifer and Charles Ribbons, Burnswick, Ga.; Nita Crockran, Jacksonville, Fla.; Nathenial Dobbins, Richmond Hills, Ga.; step grandson, Anthony Hoback, Dublin; nine great-grandchildren, and two step great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jim Linkous officiating. Burial will follow in the Delph Family Cemetery near to Thornspring Cemetery. Visiting will be Friday evening from the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m.
After the service, family, friends and neighbors will meet at the home of Vernon and Regina on Ridgeview Way, Dublin (across from PCHS) for a luncheon.
