Richard “Rick” Dale Crowder

Richard “Rick” Dale Crowder, age 56 of Dublin passed away, Thursday, April 15, 2010 in Pulaski Community Hospital.
Born May 15, 1953 in Pulaski, he was the son of the late James Crowder and Virginia Carnell Crowder. He was also preceded in death by an aunt Flora Crowder.
He was a graduate of T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria. He was a member of Newbern Christian Church. He was retired from the County of Pulaski with 25 years of service and a lifetime member and volunteer with the Newbern Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife Joyce Rigney Crowder of Dublin; daughter India Crowder of Dublin; special friend Corey Akers of Fairlawn; sisters and brothers-in-law Mildred and Bob Lewis of Chico, Calif., Dorothy Ward of Wisconsin and Judith and Jay Neeley of Pearisburg; brother and sister-in-law Donnie and Tammy Crowder of Silver Springs, Md.; aunt Lucille Crowder of Woodstock; father-in-law and mother-in-law Eules and Hazel Rigney of Pulaski; sister-in-law Shirley Rigney of Pulaski; father-in-law and mother- in-law Cecil & Effie Montgomery of Dublin; numerous nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
Memorial services will be conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. at Mt. View United Methodist Church, Wilderness Road, Dublin with Rev. John Murphy, Rev. Paul Goshorn, Don Cressell and others officiating.
