New River Community College will host a job fair on campus Thursday, March 25 from 10:00 to 3:00 p.m. in Edwards Hall, room 117. The job fair is open to the public.
Over 40 businesses and organizations are expected to participate. Job seekers are encouraged to “dress for success” and bring 20 to 25 resumes.
Participating vendors include Avon, AmeriCare Plus, American General Life & Accident Insurance, Beans and Rice, Inc., Branch Banking & Trust (BB&T), CCS-Inc., Camelot of Virginia, LLC, Camp Carysbrook, Carilion Clinic, Corning, Duncan Automotive Group, Dish Network, GCS, Goodwill Industries of the Valleys, James Hardie Building Products, Liberty Mutual Insurance, MTC Transformers, Evatran, Mary Kay Cosmetics and McKee Foods Corporation.
Others attending are Montgomery County Parks and Recreation, Montgomery County Public Schools, National Bank, National College, New River Community College, New York Life, Pepsi Bottling Group, Pulaski Community Hospital, Richfield Retirement Community, StellarOne, Stewart Enterprises, The Virginia Army National Guard, Thompson & Litton, USDA-Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, United Pet Group, Virginia Employment Commission, Virginia Tech Human Resources, Virginia Tech Police Department, Wall & Associates, Inc. and Warm Hearth Village.
The Job Fair Expo is sponsored by local departments of Social Services, NRCC Workforce Development Services, Partners for Self-Sufficiency, New River/Mount Rogers Workforce Investment Board, Department of Rehabilitative Services, Virginia Employment Commission and Goodwill Industries of the Valleys.
