Lillian Gertrude Midkiff Holliday, age 102, of Walnut Avenue in Pulaski passed away Thursday, March 11, 2010 in Pulaski Community Hospital.
Born July 30, 1907 in Pulaski, she was the daughter of the late Harry J. Midkiff and Lucy Gallimore Midkiff. She was also preceded in death by her husband Claude Raymond Holliday; one son Stanley Holliday; one granddaughter Judy D. Lyons; great grandson Jason B. Arehart; son-in-law Robert W. Dalton; five sisters Edna Doss, Virginia Dupin, Frances Pierce, Dorothy Midkiff, and Mae Grant; and two brothers Lawrence and Earl Midkiff.
She was a charter member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Pulaski. She was a cafeteria manager of the old Pulaski High School for more than 20 years.
Surviving are one daughter Billie Holliday Dalton of Pulaski; grandchildren Susan Dalton Moore and Jimmy Moore of Hickory, N.C., Donna Dupin of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Teresa Sekich of Tucson, Ariz.; great granddaughters April Morehead and Linda and Clark Knowlmeyer; and great grandson Paul Morehead.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Family Worship Center/First Pentecostal Holiness, Memorial Drive, Pulaski, with Dr. C.R. Conner officiating. Interment will follow in Appalachian Conference Cemetery, Dublin.
The family will receive friends Monday from 1 p.m. until time of service at the church.
