Doris Sandra Spence

Doris Sandra Spence, 45, of McAdam Drive in Pulaski, departed this life Saturday, February 20, 2010 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Richmond, VA on July 3, 1964, she was a daughter of Vestal Bruce Spence, Sr. of Pulaski and the late Betty Jo Marie Reynolds Spence. She was a member and Sunday School Teacher at Stafford Hill (New Day Ministries) Pentecostal Holiness Church in Pulaski. She was preceded in death by her mother, and a sister Diane Spence.
Left to cherish her memory are her companion of twenty-seven years, Clyde Mitchell of Pulaski; her son Leslie Bruce Lee Spence of Pulaski; her daughter Kathy Lynn Mitchell of the home; her step-daughter Angela Spence of Pulaski; her father Vestal Spence, Sr; her brothers Vestal B Spence, Jr, Daniel Stevenson Spence and James Douglas Spence all of Pulaski; her sisters Debra Sue Farris, Darlene Sylvia Spence, and Denise Sharon Quesenberry of Pulaski; her grandchildren Bradley Julian Reed, Bailie Elizabeth Reed, and Madison Brooke Spence; her special friend Mary Bandy and her “Daughter” Margie Olinger.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the Stafford Hill (New Life Ministries) Pentecostal Holiness Church at Frog Level Court in Pulaski with Bro. Richard Walls officiating. Burial will follow in the Spence Family Cemetery at Sylvatus. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 AM until the time for the services Wednesday.
