Walter Murrell White, age 83 of Draper, died early Wednesday morning December 9, 2009 at his residence. He was born August 24, 1926 in Draper, and was the son of the late Cecil Porter White and William Anderson White. He was retired after many years as an electrician with Radford Army Ammunition Plant, was a long-time member of the Draper Fire Department, was a member of the Draper Christian Church, and was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Helen Baker White: a son; William “Bill” Walter White of Roanoke: a sister; Dorothy White Layman of Draper and one niece. Funeral services will be held Friday December 11, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Seagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Winn officiating. Interment will follow at the Duncan Cemetery in Draper.
