Kenneth Edward Warden, Sr.

Kenneth Edward Warden, Sr., age 66, of Draper passed away Friday, Sept. 11, 2009 at the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Born Febr. 19, 1943 in Pulaski, he was the son of the late Venson Lee Warden and Helen Turner Warden. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Martin and a brother, Charlie David “Sam” Warden.
Mr. Warden was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He was retired from the Lynchburg Foundry with 38 years of service.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years Martha Hagee Warden of Draper; son Kenneth E. Warden Jr. of Draper; five grandchildren Kenneth E. “Trey” Warden III, Logan Martin, Joseph Ainsworth, and Malachi and Gabriel Akers; brothers Roger Wade Warden of Pulaski, and Connie Venson Warden and wife Billie of Barren Springs; and sisters Nancy Lee Lester and husband Stanley of Dublin, and Betty Ann Riggins of Max Meadows.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with the Rev. Clyde Bishop officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin with full military honors conducted by the Pulaski V.F.W. Post #1184. The family will receive friends Sunday, 6-8 p.m., at Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.
