Cheryl Lynn Tickle Wilson, 51, of Pulaski, loving wife, daughter and sister, was called to the Lord on Sept. 10, 2009 in the Carilion NRV Medical Center, Radford.
Cheryl fought a battle with cancer that taught those around her the meaning of courage, grace and dignity. She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Brown Tickle; her paternal grandparents Luther and Ethel Tickle; and her maternal grandfather Herman Brown. Cheryl touched many lives in her 32 years of service at the Pulaski Dept. of Social Services and made many life-long friends there, as well as others who had the privilege of knowing her.
Surviving are her husband Jonah (Jake) Wilson; father Kenneth H. Tickle and his wife Barbara and her daughters, Connie Ratcliff and LuAnn Hamrick; maternal grandmother Rachel M. Brown; brothers Kenneth H. Tickle and Steven D Tickle and his wife Rosanne; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins; and her pets Ruby and Jasper
Funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with Rev. Robert Lorton officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. The family will receive friends Sunday, 2-4 p.m., from the funeral home.
