Dublin Council to meet Thursday

The Dublin Town Council will meet Thursday, August 20 at 7 p.m.
The meeting will be held in the council chambers, located on the second floor of the Dublin Town Hall.
New business items on the agenda include:
•consideration and discussion of a resolution to an agreement by the New River Resource Authority for acceptance of solid waste from the Joint Public Service Authority of Wythe and Bland counties, as requested by NRRA
•presentation of delinquent real estate and personal property listings
•presentation and discussion of amendment to rate schedules 630, 640 and 650 for gas service (transportation customers) by Atmos
•presentation of State Corporation Commission news release concerning APCO’s power fuel rate increase request
•presentation of Comcast’s notification of cable channel changes
•discussion of Chad Clark’s resignation from Dublin Planning Commission
•discussion of financial audit for fiscal year ending June 30, 2008
Meetings are open to the public, and citizens will have the opportunity to make comments at the end of the meeting.
