Pulaski County fire and rescue receive extrication training

Pulaski County area fire and rescue personnel got to hone up their skills Saturday when Dublin Fire Department hosted an eight-hour vehicle extrication class.
A total of 38 firefighters from Dublin, Fairlawn, Snowville and Newbern fire departments, and rescue members with REMSI (Regional Emergency Medical Services Inc.) took part in the training.
Dublin Fire Department Public Information Officer Brad Wright said the class gave rescue personnel an opportunity to train with each other on the techniques that should be used to stabilize wrecked vehicles and free entrapped victims.
Vehicles used in the exercise, as well as lunch, were provided by Dublin Fire Department.
