Ruby Mae Flanagan Roseberry, age 89 of Pulaski, passed away early Thursday morning July 16, 2009 in Pulaski Community Hospital’s skilled care unit. She was born in Wythe County on September 13, 1919 and was the daughter of the late Perry and Nannie Flanagan, who lovingly raised her in Carroll County. She was a retired Cook for Pulaski County Public Schools, and one of the oldest members of Anderson Memorial Presbyterian Church where she attended faithfully. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Roseberry and her four brothers, Bud, Bernie, Clayton and Garfield Flanagan. Ruby was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister and grandmother. Ruby led by example and was always willing to help others. She is survived by a son: Terry Walter Roseberry and his wife Sue of Dublin: a daughter; Ruth Roseberry Vordo and her husband Michael of Christiansburg: three sisters; Virginia Cecil of Wytheville, Alma Myers and her husband Rudolph of Pulaski, and Ina McGrady of Hillsville. Also survived by two special grandsons, Brian and Linda Roseberry and Scott and Anastasia Roseberry, all of Roanoke, along with 6 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews that she enjoyed visiting with. Funeral services will be held Saturday July 18, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons with the Rev. Tim McGrady, nephew of Mrs. Roseberry and the Rev. Johnny Howlett officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
