Lois Duncan Sawyers Tolbert, age 81 of Pulaski, passed away Sunday morning June 21, 2009 on Father’s Day to be with her Heavenly Father. She was born October 18, 1927 in Draper, and was the daughter of the late Bertie Branscome Duncan and Noah Duncan. She was a member of the First Church of the Brethren in Pulaski where she sang in the choir and was active in the Women’s Fellowship, was a retired employee of Jefferson Mills and was a dedicated volunteer at Pulaski Community Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vivian Sawyers, Jr., a sister, Gladys King, and a daughter Evelyn Sawyers Dishon. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law; Elbert and Bonnie Sawyers: a daughter, Donna Sawyers Lyons, all of Pulaski: a son-in-law, Laymon (Woody) Dishon and his wife Trish of Max Meadows. Also survived by grandchildren, Fred Sawyers of Indianapolis, Indiana, Cheryl and Kevin Turman and Erik Sawyers all of Pulaski, and great-grandchildren, Andy and Jacob Turman. Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 24, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Ted Turner and the Rev. Johnny Howlett officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Visiting will be Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home.
