Ola Mae Chrisley Taylor Lawson went home to be with Jesus after passing quietly in her home in Pulaski Sunday, June 21, 2009. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lonnie Obal Taylor, her husband of many years, Albert Lawson, her son, Michael Dean Lawson, mother and father, Jim and Blanche Chrisley, her brother, Billy Chrisley, son-in-law, Harley Ray Marshall, her grandson, Terry Allen Branch, granddaughter, Babette Michelle Taylor and her great-grandson, Clayford Scott Taylor. Surviving are her brother Clarence Ray Chrisley & wife, Edna, Hiwassee, VA, sons & spouses Albert (Tom) & Brenda Lawson, Abingdon, VA, Lonnie Wayne & Connie Taylor, Pulaski, Daniel Eugene & Ann Lawson, Dublin, VA, daughters & spouses Jewell Delphine Marshall, Yadkinville, NC, Shirley Irene & Jackie Fowler, Thorpe, WV; Janet Louise & Billy Branch, Pulaski, VA, Ella Marie & Wayne Brookman, Dublin, VA; 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, sister-in-law Helen Lawson, several nieces & nephews whom she loved dearly.
She was a long time member of Hiwassee Pentecostal Holiness Church and a former member of the Hiwassee Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She will be greatly missed by her family, her church, and her friends at Pulaski Village.
Stevens Funeral Home, located on Randolph Avenue, Pulaski, VA is handling arrangements. The family is meeting at the home of the son, Lonnie Taylor, 5066 Alum Spring Road, Pulaski, VA and will also be receiving friends at Stevens Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. The funeral will be at the Funeral Home Chapel a 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 24, 2009 and burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
