Town offering meeting for first time homebuyers

The Town of Pulaski, in conjunction with the Virginia Housing Development Authority (VHDA), is offering an informational meeting for first time homebuyers Monday, May 18.
The meeting will be held 5:30-7 p.m. in Town Council Chambers on the second floor of the Municipal Building at 42 First St., N.W.
The Town of Pulaski has funds reserved from VHDA for their SPARC (Sponsoring Partnerships and Revitalizing Communities) loan program.
These special funds are available at half to one percent below the standard rate for all first time homebuyers that qualify for the loan program.
If you are interested in becoming a homeowner, and have not owned a home in the last three years, this meeting will allow an opportunity to talk to VHDA representatives and one of their designated lenders to determine whether you qualify for a SPARC loan.
Local realtors also are invited to attend.
With the combination of low interest rates and the SPARC program, these mortgages may end up being lower than monthly rent payments.

For more information, questions, or concerns, contact the Pulaski Town Managers Office at 540-994-8600.
