Pulaski Theatre to host ‘Battle of the Bands’

The Pulaski Theatre will host a "Battle of the Bands" on Saturday, May 16 at 7 p.m.
This event will be the first of its kind at the Pulaski Theatre, and will be geared toward younger rock fans in the community, as many area youth have expressed a strong interest for shows that cater to the teens and 20s age groups.
The Battle of the Bands will feature five groups.
Two of the competing bands, Love and Reverie and Searching for Timothy are based in Richmond. Another band, Beards and Bats, will travel from West Virginia to compete.
In addition, New River Valley-based band Vegas on Fire will compete, and the local band August will close out the performances.
Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at Coffee Buy the Book, Martin’s Pharmacy, or the Pulaski Theatre’s website, www.pulaskitheatre.org.
All profits will go toward the ongoing operations and restoration of the historic Pulaski Theatre, often described as the "jewel of Main Street."
