Richard "Rick" Steven Cecil

Richard "Rick" Steven Cecil, age 58 of Pulaski and formerly of Lincoln, Rhode Island passed away Sunday, May 3, 2009.
Born November 29, 1950 in Richmond, Virginia, he is the son of Elsie Taber Cecil and the late Curtis Lee Cecil. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Alan Ross Cecil; paternal grandparents, Eugene G. Cecil and Virginia Dexter Cecil; maternal grandparents, Albino and Mary Taber; & 2 Uncles, Leo Cecil and Paul Cecil.
He was a retired engineer with over 20 years of service at Hasbro Industries in Pawtucket, R.I. Rick loved to hunt deer and ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was a licensed pilot and enjoyed flying. Rick was always willing to lend a hand and help family and friends. Surviving are his mother Elsie Taber Cecil, Acushnet, MA;
his wife Kathy Andrews Cecil, Lincoln, R.I., daughter Jessica Cecil Taylor; son Adam Cecil; the children’s mother Marjorie Skrutski – all of Rochester; three grandchildren Erin, Cole and Chace Taylor; sister and brother-in-law Caroline and Danny Lundrigan, Acushnet, MA;
brothers Gary Cecil & wife, Dawn, Nevada City, CA; John Cecil, Acushnet, MA; aunts Markeatter Cecil, Draper, VA; Pauline Cecil, Snowville, VA; Dorothy Kennedy, Orleans, MA; his father’s long time companion Emily Mello, New Bedford, MA; three nieces, 1 nephew and many cousins.
Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday 1:00 P.M. at the Cecil’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Hiwassee with Pastor Mike Coleman officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. at the funeral home before leaving in procession to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the charity of one’s choice.
