Photo of bank robber’s hat released

Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office has released a photograph of the type of baseball cap a woman was wearing when she robbed the Fairlawn Branch of Bank of America Thursday.
The public is being asked to notify police if they recognize the robber or if they know someone matching the robber’s description who owns or has access to this type of cap. You may either call Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office at 540-980-7800 or your local police agency.
The robber remained at large as of late Saturday afternoon.
She is described as being a stocky five-foot, five-inch tall white female in her late 20s. Her dark hair was pulled back into a ponytail and appeared to be about shoulder length. She was wearing the green baseball cap and placed her sunglasses on top of the cap.
The suspect was last seen wearing faded blue jeans and a dark blue or green V-neck sweatshirt or sweater.
Pulaski County Sheriff Jim Davis said the robber made away with an undisclosed amount of money after handing a threatening note to a teller. No weapon was ever displayed.
The suspect was last seen fleeing in the direction of Montgomery County, across the bank parking lot.
The bank is on Pepper’s Ferry Boulevard, adjacent to Sheetz.
Davis speculated she may have had a car waiting in the parking lot of the adjacent shopping center.
