Beale is accused of fatally shooting a Christiansburg man who was identified Friday as 33-year-old Floyd Wilfred-Linn Wright Jr.. The apparent shooting took place following an alleged altercation outside the 500 block of Calhoun St. just after 9 p.m. Thursday night, Hawke said.
Wright was pronounced dead at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center.
