Sharon Lockard Hunter, age 54 of Dublin, died late Sunday evening April 26, 2009 in Pulaski Community Hospital. She was born on October 5, 1954, in Radford, and was the daughter of the late Virginia Roseberry Lockard and Alvie (Al) McKinley Lockard. She was a faithful member of Dublin United Methodist Church, was a 1973 graduate of Dublin High School, was a teacher in the Business Management Dept. at New River Community College, and was in the Masters Program at Baker College. She is survived by her devoted husband, Barry W. Hunter of Dublin, three daughters Amy Goodrich and her husband Joey of Orlando, FL, Sarah Hunter of Orlando, and Erin Hunter Lynch and her husband Mark of Dublin, a son Darrin Hunter and his wife Joann of Ft. Bragg, NC, a brother Gary P. Lockard and his wife Marian of Dublin. Also survived by grandchildren Lauren Zastrow, Kyle Zastrow, James Goodrich, Annie Goodrich, Jaden Hunter, and Sean Hunter, and her faithful companion and family dog, Tanner. Funeral services will be held Wednesday April 29, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Dublin United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill Rowland officiating. Graveside services will be in Highland Memory Gardens, on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends Wednesday prior to the service at the church from 5 until 7 p.m. Flowers will be appreciated, but for those who wish, they may make memorial contributions in her memory to the Dublin United Methodist Church, P.O.
