WCCH Hires Operating Room Director 

Wythe County Community Hospital is pleased to introduce Ralph Taylor as our new Operating Room Director. Mr. Taylor is pursuing a Masters of Science in Nursing, Leadership, and Management from Walden University. He received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences, Orlando, Florida. He also is a graduate of Pikeville College with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing.
He currently holds the certification for ACLS and BLS instructor.   
 He comes to us from Lakeway Regional Hospital, Morristown, TN, where he was Staff Development/Assistant Director, Surgical Services and Director of Intensive Care.  
He has extensive experience in the healthcare sector ranging from clinical areas to administration. He has been a member of the Open Heart Team and various other healthcare teams.  
He and his wife Carolyn and 2 girls, Courtney and Christin, will be living in Rural Retreat. In his free time he enjoys volunteering for United Way, Relay for Life, Association of peri-Operative Registered Nurses, fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family. 
According to Mr. Taylor, “Relocating to Southwest Virginia is like returning home. The picturesque mountain views remind me of my childhood in the Appalachian Mountains."
