Margaret Elosie King Morehead

Margaret Elosie King Morehead, age 91 of Pulaski passed away Friday evening March 20, 2009 at the Pulaski Community Hospital.
Born July 27, 1917 in Pulaski she was the daughter of the late James Milton and Alma Smith King. Her special cousin, Bonnie S. Ward, also preceded her in death.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pulaski where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was also a teacher in the Pulaski County School System for 43 years.
Surviving are: special aunt, Rita Shumate; special cousins, Emogene R. Cullip of Dublin, Martha and Richard J. Patterson of Dublin, Martha and Charles Ward of Dublin, Roger and Nancy Micou of New Jersey, and Ronnie and Ann Shumate of Richmond; many other cousins and special friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 11 a.m. at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Hugh Kilgore and Rev. Richard J. Patterson officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. View United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time Monday morning at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church, 135 4th Street N.W., Pulaski, VA, 24301.
The family asks that special thanks go to the Pulaski Retirement Community who gave her such good care, and also to the Pulaski Health Care and Rehab Center. Another special thanks goes to Pulaski Community Hospital and her special doctor, Dr. Donald Yoder.
