James Joseph Qualey

James Joseph Qualey of Charleston, S.C. entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 14, 2009.
The relatives and friends of Qualey are invited to attend his Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., Monday, March 23, 2009, at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. The Rite of Committal will be private.
Jimmy Qualey was born in Charleston on Dec. 29, 1953, a son of Lea Holt and John Patrick Qualey and attended Charleston High School. He was a respiratory therapist at MUSC for many years and will be remembered as a kind and gentle man with a love for animals.
Jimmy is survived by his mother, Lea H. Qualey of Charleston; his sisters, Gwen Q. Kelley of New Port, R.I., Judy Q. Bevon of Charleston, Mary Q. Bear of Gainesville, Ga., Regina Q. Keating of Denver, Co. and Jennifer Q. French of Pulaski; his brothers, John P. Qualey, Jr. of Hilton Head and Joseph K. Qualey of James Island, as well as 12 nieces and nephews and six grand-nieces and nephews.
