Appeal deadline Feb. 27

Time is running out for property owners who wish to appeal their real estate tax assessments, but have yet to do so.
The deadline to set up an appointment with the Pulaski County Board of Equalization is 5 p.m., Friday, Feb. 27, according to BOE Chairman Andy McCready.
The board held its first meeting Feb. 2. There are only four hearing dates remaining — March 2, 3, 5 and 7.
The hearings are designed to give residents of the Towns of Pulaski and Dublin, and Pulaski County an opportunity to present evidence as to why they believe the recent reassessment value placed on their property is inaccurate.
Appointments are required to appear before the board. To make an appointment call 994-2416 or e-mail boe@pulaskicounty.org.
Information on real estate tax assessments is available at www.pulaskicounty.org/cor_board_of_equalization.htm.
Hearings are being held in the New River Room of the ground floor of the old Courthouse at 52 West Main Street. Remaining hearing dates and times are as follows:
Monday, March 2, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tuesday, March 3, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Thursday, March 5, 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday, March 7, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
