Anna Marie Hayes Watson

Anna Marie Hayes Watson, 79, of 7341 Lillydale Circle, Dublin, Va. died Wednesday morning, Feb. 11, 2009, in the New River Valley Medical Center, Christiansburg. She was born in Grayson Co. on Jan. 4, 1930 and was the daughter of the late Charles Lee Hayes and Lula Lewis Hayes. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elijah David Watson, by a sister, Mildred Hayes Barker and by an infant brother. Mrs. Watson was a charter member of the Pulaski Seventh-Day Adventist Church and an employee of Pulaski County High School. She received her high school diploma at the age of 65 from New River Community College. Surviving are daughter and son-in-law Jennena & Donald L. Cressell, Dublin; grandchildren & spouse David & Tammy Cressell, Dublin; Kevin Cressell & his fiance Stephanie Webb, Dublin; special great-grandbabies Erika Cressell, Dublin; Brea Cressell, Dublin; sister & brother-in-law Jean & Grant Barker, Dublin; brothers and sisters-in-law Jerry & Mae Hayes; Tom & Minnie Hayes; Harry & Betty Hayes, all of Dublin; brother-in-law Allen Barker, Dublin; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law Glenn & Peggy Watson, Hillsville; William & Thelma Watson, Hillsville; Freida Beamer, Allisonia; Stella Watson Hayes, Dublin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. from the Stevens Funeral Chapel with Elder Vince MacIssac officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visitation will be Saturday at Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
