PCPC elects officers

Pulaski Community Partners Coalition (PCPC) has elected a new slate of officers for 2009.
The board is made up of seven adults and two youth.
Adult officers are Dr. Bridget Parsons, Police Officer Charles Ratcliffe, Lynne Clark, Julie Williams, Anthony Akers, Sally Warburton and Carol Smith. Youth members are Shea Davis and Marissa Clark.
PCPC’s high school group, the Youth Advisory Board (YAB), will elect an executive board this Saturday, Jan. 24, at a retreat to be held at the First Presbyterian Manse. The group also will plan its short- and long-range goals and work on design of the youth section of the PCPC website.
The adult retreat will be held at the Manse Friday, Jan. 30. A one- to five-year goal plan based on community needs will be devised at this time.
PCPC is dedicated to reducing alcohol, tobacco and other drug abuse among area youth and adults by promoting healthy, thriving families and a safe community.
The group works to accomplish its mission by connecting people, resources and ideas.
