‘Minimal’ damage when car strikes Goodwill store

No one was injured and damage was “minimal” Monday when a car struck the Goodwill store in Fairlawn.
Pulaski County Sheriff Jim Davis said the accident, which happened just after noon, occurred when Virginia Jackson of Pulaski accidentally pressed the accelerator rather than the brake while parking in front of the thrift store.
The car ran into a glass window, breaking the window and bending its frame.
Davis said damage to Jackson’s vehicle is estimated at $400, and the building, owned by Interstate Property Management, sustained about $2,000 in damage.
No one was injured.
The store is located behind Sheetz, near the intersection of Lee Highway (Route 11) and Pepper’s Ferry Boulevard (Route 114).
