Sydney Frances Frost, 89, a resident of Westchester Manor, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009. Frost was born Oct. 10, 1919 in Pulaski, a daughter of Sidney McPherson and Creesy Caviness Leffew. She was employed as the secretary to the fire chief for the City of High Point until retiring in 1981. Frost was a member of First Christian Church Ministries, formerly Peace Christian Church.
On Aug. 13, 1949, she was married to Robert Elmer Frost, who preceded her in death in April 1992. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Claire Ravazzani.
Surviving are three daughters, Bonnie Brooks Ravazzani and husband Guisoppi of Milan, Italy, Patricia Frost of High Point, Lynn King and husband Ron of Jamestown; one son, Bob Frost of High Point; two grandchildren, Marcus Ravazzani and Courtney King.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday on Jan. 27 at Oakwood Cemetery in Pulaski, conducted by Rev. Dan Hipply. Frost will remain at Sechrest Funeral Service, 1301 E. Lexington Ave., where the family will receive friends Monday evening, Jan. 26 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Memorials are requested to be directed to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC, 27262, or to First Christian Church Ministries, 2066 Deep River Road, High Point, NC, 27262.
