PCHS still at No. 2

Pulaski County held onto its No. 2 ranking in this week’s Associated Press prep football poll.
The Cougars remain in second place in Group AA behind Brookville. The Bees racked up 119 points, while Pulaski County amassed 106. Brookville received 11 first place votes, while No. 3 Amherst County — with 95 points — received the other.
Elsewhere in the poll, Salem remained at No. 6 with 52 points in Group AA.
In Group A, Floyd County remained at No. 7 with 43 points and Giles moved to No. 12 in a tie with Chilhowie with 5 points.
Radford, following their loss to Eastern Montgomery last Friday, fell from the rankings.
