Voter registrar issues reminder about deadline

PULASKI COUNTY — Have you moved? Did your name change? Can’t remember the last time you voted? Can’t find your voter card? Now is the time to make sure your information is up to date. Check your voter registration status now.
The historical fall election is fast approaching. It is never too early to register or update your information. Now would be a good time to check and make sure your voter registration is up to date because the deadline to register to vote or to make changes to your registration is Oct. 6.
If you know someone who will turn 18 by the date of the election, Nov. 4, they can register to vote now. They do not have to wait until their birthday to register.
It is vital that you report any change of address to our office. Changing your address with our office will ensure you don’t exceed the grace period and risk your right to participate in this historic election.
You can check your voter registration on line at the State Board of Election’s Web Site at www.sbe.state.va.us. Click on “voter information,” then “voter registration status” and fill in the appropriate information. You may also call the Registrar at 980-2111. The Pulaski County Registrar’s Office is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
