Mariners to open playoffs at Calfee Park

PULASKI — In its first season, the Pulaski Mariners have compiled one of the best records in the Appalachian League and won the East Divisional title. Now, they set their sights on the playoffs which start Wednesday at Calfee Park.
The Mariners will host the West Divisional champs, the Elizabethton Twins, in the opener of the best 2-of-3 game series.
 It will be “Twins Night” at the ball park as the Mariners invite twin individuals from throughout the region to come out and support the Mariners against the Twins baseball team.
 The main ticket office will open at 5 p.m. on Wednesday. Gates open at 6 and game time is 7.
 For the second game of the playoffs in Elizabethton, the Mariners will have a fan bus leaving Calfee Park at 4 p.m. on Thursday, and then return two hours after the completion of the game. The price is $25 per person and includes transportation and game ticket for the second game of the playoffs at Elizabethton. Tickets must be pre-paid and you must pre-register.
 Ticket prices for the second game will also be $5 for general admission and $7 for reserve.

 A third game if needed would be held in Elizabethton.
