Frye smashes record

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TENN. — Former Pulaski County High athlete Will Frye ripped through the NAIA 2008 Marathon Championships in Edwardsville, Ill. and snatched the school record in the process.
Frye, who was ranked 52nd, remained patient and strong throughout the grueling 26.2 mile race to claim 24th place in the nation. With a time of 2:42:51 Frye now stands atop the All-Time Milligan College marathon record list. Frye has claimed three school records during his time at Milligan with the latest addition indicating a bright senior campaign ahead.
“It’s been a long road, literally and mentally” commented Frye. “The record was something I really wanted, and for it to finally happen is very exciting and motivating.”

An Academic All-American and an important part of the Milligan College track and cross country team Frye will be one to look for next year.
Frye is the son of Randy and Vicki Frye.
